“Covid vaccinated pin” searches are up 695%. Here’s how sellers are utilizing Amazon Merch to capitalize on consumer search trends
Tell me you’re vaccinated without actually telling me you’re vaccinated.
I’ll go first: I now wear this shirt under all my clothes, everyday, forever.
Since the vaccination rollout really kicked off in January, “I’m vaccinated” gear has become insanely popular on Amazon. Searches for “covid vaccinated pin” and “vaccinated mask” were recently up 695% and 304%, respectively.
How did they do it? Why with Amazon Merch, of course! Once enrolled in the program, all sellers have to do is upload their artwork, select a product, and write a description.
Amazon will create the listing and handle the production, shipping, and customer service for you.
Ways to catapult your merch sales:
- 8 out of 10 consumers have purchased something because of an influencer, so tap into a strong social media or blog following to brag about your cool new product offering.
- Follow the design guidelines the first time around so you don’t have to wait around for that sweet sweet cash.
- Don’t violate any trademarks. If someone else came up with your idea first, get over it. Or better yet, get a better, cooler idea and run with it.
I don’t have to be vaccinated to know that one day soon I will not care to slap “I’m vaccinated” on everything I own. In the meantime, it may not be too late to take advantage of this trend (you can monitor that with tools like JungleScout’s Opportunity Finder), and if not then go go go!!
But if nothing else, let this be a case study for how you too can make a decent profit at any moment with a trendy idea, with little to no upfront investment, and with Amazon Merch.
